Useful for all: How TIER-Dott is Transforming Urban Transport

As cities across Europe and the Middle East work towards their sustainable mobility goals, TIER-Dott is proud to be the responsible partner helping drive this progress. In 2024 alone, we realized over 100 million rides, reshaping transportation habits and reducing reliance on private cars.

We recently surveyed 8,468 riders across 23 cities in 10 countries on how they use our service, and we’ve compiled the results in our 2024 Usage Report. Here are some of the highlights, showing how we’re creating positive change in our communities with every ride.

Promoting a Car-Free Lifestyle

Our service makes traveling by public transport, bike, and scooter more accessible, reducing car dependency. According to the survey:

• 58% of riders who previously traveled by car, taxi, or ride-hailing services have reduced their use of these modes.
• We added an estimated 6.5 million additional public transport trips in 2024, through added first/last mile accessibility.
• 31% of bike riders, and 18% of all riders, now cycle more frequently.

We facilitate this shift by providing affordable pricing options like the Dott Flex and Pro passes, integrating with local MaaS applications, and offering a multimodal fleet that supports a variety of abilities and trip types.

Saving Time and Reducing Congestion

We reduce travel times across the city, both by providing a reliable door-to-door transport option, and by reducing congestion:

• 74% of riders choose TIER-Dott to save time, 41% to make their trips easier.
• In total, an estimated 40.5 million kilometers of car travel were replaced in 2024, equating to over €17 million in societal cost savings.

With more commuters on bikes and scooters, we also reduce the crowding on public transport networks at peak periods. This, in turn, makes public transport a more attractive option for car drivers.

Benefiting Rider and City Health

With an enjoyable outdoor travel experience, and reduced car travel on our roadways, our service contributes to a happier and healthier population:

• 29% of riders report feeling happier and more relaxed while using TIER-Dott.
• 21% of rides directly replace car, moped, or taxi trips.
• This resulted in over 4,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided in 2024, improving air quality in urban areas.

Reduced car travel also reduces harmful air pollution from particulate matter, resulting in respiratory health benefits for the city.

Going Beyond: Supporting Local Development

Our responsible approach extends beyond mobility, fostering economic and community development:

• We operate in each city through local, high-quality jobs.
• Our local operational centers create investment in the local economy.
• We share data with our city partners to support urban planning projects and infrastructure development.
